When the problems cannot be solved by phone, we meet clients in person to discuss how best to proceed. We can provide information about the medical system in the U.S., welfare services, school system, elderly assistance and legal resources. We may also accompany clients to social services to serve as interpreters. We may also act as a liaison between a social service agency and a client in regard to possible misunderstandings due to differences in language and culture. Direct service costs may include reimbursement for transportation, parking, and other incidentals.
