Martha Hadeler
Crane Lake Capital, Inc.

Ms. Hadeler is the owner of Crane Lake Capital, Inc. a consulting and personal investment company. She was a co-founder and partner for 10 years at CyptreeTree Investment Management, a CLO and loan investment management company. Earlier in her career she was Managing Director in charge of Global loan distribution at Citicorp as well as Head of the Tokyo office for Drexel Burnham Lambert. Ms. Hadeler is a graduate of Brown University (BA) and Columbia University (MBA).

Dr. Megumi Inoue,
ADN, MSW, LCSW, PhD

Assistant Professor,
George Mason University

Dr. Inoue is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at George Mason University. Her research focuses on health and aging, and she is particularly interested in advance care planning and patients’ autonomy in health care settings. Dr. Inoue brings her extensive clinical experience as a social worker and a registered nurse to her understanding of these research areas. Dr. Inoue received her Ph.D. from Boston College (Graduate School of Social Work), MSW from Washington University in St. Louis (Brown School of Social Work), BSW from Kawasaki University of Medical Welfare in Japan (Department of Medical Social Welfare), and ADN from Kyushu University in Japan (College of Medical Technology Department of Nursing).

Yumi Jones, MS
Scientist
at Waters Corporation

Ms. Jones is a dedicated professional with a Master of Science in Agriculture from Shinshu University in Japan, and a steadfast commitment to community service. Currently serving as a board director with JB Line, she brings a diverse background and a passion for supporting the organization through fundraising and technology initiatives.

Her dedication to community service drives Ms. Jones to actively volunteer for various organizations for over 30 years, including but not limited to animal shelters, food pantries, and youth services.

Satoko “Lisa” Watanabe,
MSW, LICSW

Founder and President, JB Line Inc.

Ms. Watanabe earned her B.A. in Clinical Psychology from Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan and her M.S.W. from University of Southern California. She did the internship at the Little Tokyo Service Center and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center in Los Angeles, worked for Presbyterian Children’s Village in Philadelphia, and moved to Boston in 2008. Ms. Watanabe founded JB Line, Inc. in 2010 and has been running, expanding, and strengthening this 501c3 organization. She has a strong passion to pull out each person’s strengths and work together as a team in his/her hard time. Ms. Watanabe also works as a therapist for her solo practice for her non-Japanese (avoiding any conflict of interests) clients.

Yoshie Oyagi Gordon,
Development &
Corporate Relations
at Boston Higashi School

Ms. Gordon has been working at Boston Higashi School for children with autism spectrum disorder as a fundraiser since 2008. Her focus has been to develop relationships with Japanese companies doing business in the U.S. With their financial support and that of other donors, the school has been able to build a library, an all-season swimming pool, and has renovated classrooms and other facilities.
Ms. Gordon earned her B.A. in sociology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her M.S.W. from Simmons College School of Social Work. She worked in psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital, St. Lukes Hospital in Tokyo, and the inpatient unit for children in psychiatry at the Duke Medical Center in North Carolina. In 1990, she made a major career shift to business and studied at Duke Business School for the M.B.A. This degree set her on a new career trajectory, and she worked in the high technology industry in Japan and Boston for almost 15 years.
She has always wanted to combine her experience and skills from social work and business.
Ms. Gordon joined the Board of JB Line in March, 2022.

TREASURER

Eriko Sato, CPA
Treasurer

Ms. Sato earned B.S in Accounting from University of Southern California, worked for one of the Big 4 accounting firms from 2006 to 2010 and a local accounting firm in Los Angeles area from 2010 to 2014. She relocated to Boston in 2015 and currently works as a financial reporting analyst for a Boston based science company. Ms. Sato serves as Treasurer for JB Line since 2016. She is a licensed CPA from California.

Midori Tatsuta, Adm
Clerk

Ms. Tatsuta joined JB Line team in 2012. She earned her Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Kyushu University and her pharmacist license in Japan. Before moved to the U.S. in 1995, she worked for a pharmacy and a hospital as the pharmacy manager. While raising two children, she served on the PTA Board and the steering committee in Japanese Language School of Boston.
